RadiSurf is extremely proud to announce that it has been awarded 1.5 million EUR in soft funding together with a larger investment through the European Innovation Councils (EIC) Accelerator Pilot Program, to fully mature and scale up production of its breakthrough, sustainable and reversible RadiBond™ adhesion technology.
The funding is provided for European SME’s with high impact technologies or business concepts that will make the European economy more competitive. This call targeted technologies for direct combat of Covid19 or to support the European Recovery Plan for Covid19. Only 72 of almost 4 000 applicants was granted funding this round, and just a quarter received an investment together with the soft funding.
RadiSurf will use the funding to immediately scale up production of the RadiBond™ polymer brush chemistry in our current facilities, run industrial scale demonstrations in collaboration with partners and execute our go-to-market strategies. By 2023 our first industrial plant is scheduled to be ready, allowing us to supply an already growing market. This will be the first plant ever to produce polymer brush chemistry, marking a historic turning point in the use of this fantastic technology and a major financial breakthrough for RadiSurf.
RadiSurf CEO, Mikkel Kongsfelt agree. “This is an incredible breakthrough, and the road is now open to realize the potential of RadiBond and the polymer brush technology. We are very grateful to the EIC Accelerator Pilot committee and to the jury members that found our technology as fantastic as we do, and for their support that will take polymer brushes from a lab curiosity to a transformative tool for the industry and society”.
Thanks to the funding, RadiSurf is expanding its organization and have new job openings for key positions to secure our technical and commercial development.
